Amount: One new scholarship worth $1500 per year, awarded for up to four consecutive years

Renewal Condition: Recipients must maintain a minimum 3.2 GPA from an accredited institution to remain eligible each year

Deadline: Applications must be postmarked or emailed by May 15th

Eligibility

· Be a GSRWA member*

*A member is defined as any individual, public water or wastewater system, community, or organization with membership in good standing with GSRWA including residents of the member public system, employees, and their dependents; GSRWA employees, board members, volunteers, or dependents thereof. · Be a resident of New Hampshire and have proof of primary residency (12 months of the year)

· Be accepted to an accredited college or university degree program

· Pursuing a career in the water or wastewater industry or a closely related field, including but not limited to:

  • Environmental Science/Natural Resource Management

  • Business Administration/Finance

  • Public Works Management

  • Engineering

  • Hydrology

  • Marketing

Required Documents

· Completed GSRWA Scholarship Application

· School transcript of grades (for current or recently graduated high school or college students)

· Two letters of reference*

*Letters must come from a current or former employer, teacher, coach, guidance counselor, mentor, etc. but not a family member

· Proof of year-round residency

· Proof of membership status with GSRWA*

*This can be completed by getting a signed statement from one of the membership holder’s primary contacts. If you don’t know if your community is a member with GSRWA, or you don’t know who your contacts are, please contact us for assistance at (603) 238-9066 or email info@granitestatewater.org

    **Applications must be postmarked by the May 15th deadline. Your mailed application may not be considered if received more than 10 days after the postmark deadline. We recommend emailing your documents for best possible outcome.
